OUR STORY
Conexión Fénix is a small, Lincoln County-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Latino and Mesoamerican residents. Founded following the 2020 Echo Mountain Fire, the organization provides Spanish-language support, including educational classes and immigration support.
Key Activities and Services:
Support & Advocacy: Provides assistance against the impacts of ICE activity, including workshops on immigration rights.
Education & Wellness: Offers Spanish GED classes, community English, health education, nutrition, and wealth-building classes.
Community Building: Organizes events such as Tacita de Cafe, Día de La Mujer, Children’s Day, and Día de Muertos.
Emergency Response: Initially formed to assist during the Echo Mountain fire, the group continues to support emergency preparedness, disaster response, and environmental justice.
Conexión Fénix works closely with partners like Oregon Coast Community College and other community partners and organizations to support Lincoln County’s underserved populations.
